Paul Lytle began writing fiction early, creating a long series of stories
about a bumbling super-hero in the seventh grade. The next year he wrote a High Fantasy story
for a class assignment, which in turn inspired his first novel, A Legend Called Nesum.
While these early works were admittedly weak, they laid a foundation for Lytle's emerging skill
as a writer and as a creator of myths. He continued to refine his craft in high school and
college, and has since written several novels, Fantasy and realistic alike, for which he is
now seeking publication.
Creatively ambitious, Mr. Lytle continues to set higher goals for himself,
never content to write a book that is simply publishable. He also has written essays on anything
from literary theory to business to politics. Several of his essays on popular culture, most
particularly comic books, have been published in collections such as Webslinger and
The Man from Krypton (both from BenBella Books).
In 2002, Mr. Lytle graduated Houston Baptist University with a BA in English
and Political Science. He is currently working on a Masters degree in Liberal Arts, also at HBU.
He still lives near Houston.
