Photographs
I do not pretend to be a great photographer (or even a really good one), but these are some interesting pictures I have taken, and I think you will enjoy seeing them.
I took a vacation in New Orleans on the weekend of July 29, 2005. A month later, Katrina came and changed the city forever. They will rebuilt, certainly, but it will not be the same. What came before should not be forgotten, even as nature forces us to leave it behind. To that end, I offer some of our vacation pictures, as well as my prayers. I hope these stir memories and wonder.

On the Eve of Hurricane Rita
On the weekend of September 23, 2005, Hurricane Rita came rather close to my home. While many others evacuated, I remained. The hurricane turned, leaving only a minor wind storm near us, but it was close enough to create the most wonderful sunset I have ever seen. I took these pictures from outside my apartment over about a two hours period. They are in chronological order, and many show the same angle at different times.
